Based on the eponymous novel by Marçal Aquino, the story takes place on the border of the country and tells the story of Miro and Abílio, prosperous ranchers in the Midwestern Brazil who control a small network of illicit business. Abílio disagrees with how Miro runs the business and keeps an eye on his daughter's involvement with the family pilot. The discovery of the romance and Abílio’s unsuccessful attempts lead two body guards-killers to the road to find the couple. With Alice Braga, Cássio Gabus Mendes, Daniel Hendler, Fúlvio Stefanini, Otavio Müller and Eduardo Moscovis.
